The Nangma Valley Trek is one of Baltistan’s most stunning short adventures — a peaceful alpine journey wrapped in towering granite walls, lush green meadows, crystal streams, and pure mountain silence. Itinerary

The Nangma Valley Trek is a scenic trekking journey through a stunning alpine valley surrounded by dramatic granite towers and lush green meadows in Pakistan. It offers trekkers a peaceful experience in nature with breathtaking views, crystal-clear streams, and majestic rock formations that make it a favorite spot for both trekkers and climbers seeking a taste of the Karakoram’s beauty.

Day 01 :
ARRIVAL ISLAMABAD

Arrive at Islamabad International Airport, where our team welcomes you. Transfer to the hotel and take the rest of the day to relax after your long flight.
In the afternoon, we meet for a short briefing about the trek.

Day 02 :
FLY TO SKARDU THE GATEWAY TO KARAKORUM

Take a scenic flight to Skardu. On a clear day, you’ll see amazing aerial views of Nanga Parbat, K2, and many other famous Himalayan and Karakoram peaks.
Check into your hotel and enjoy free time to rest or explore the town.

Day 03 :
EXPLORE SKARDU & FINAL PREPARATIONS

Spend the day exploring Skardu. Visit places like Shangrila Lake, Upper Kachura Lake, Skardu Fort, Kharpocho Fort, and the ancient Buddha Rock.
Do your last-minute shopping and get ready for the trek.

Day 04 :
DRIVE TO KHAPLU – THE JEWEL OF BALTISTAN 3 HOURS

Travel by jeep along the mighty Indus River toward Khaplu, one of the most beautiful towns in Baltistan.
Enjoy views of deep gorges, rivers, and snow-covered mountains. Visit the famous Khaplu Palace and Chaqchan Mosque.
Overnight in Khaplu.

Day 05 :
DRIVE TO KANDAY VILLAGE – START THE TREK TO MIGULO BROQ 6 HOURS

After breakfast, drive to Kanday, the starting point of the Nangma Valley trek.
From here, walk gently through fields and small Balti villages to reach Mingulu Broq, a lovely meadow surrounded by granite peaks.
Set up camp and enjoy the calm mountain evening.

Day 06 :
TREK TO NANGMA VALLEY BASE CAMP 5 HOURS

Start your walk deeper into the Nangma Valley. The scenery becomes wilder — tall granite towers rise on both sides.
Reach Nangma Base Camp, a beautiful open meadow surrounded by peaks like the Changi Tower, Great Tower, Grey Tower, and King and Son Peaks.
Overnight in the peaceful valley.

Day 07 :
DAY TRIP TO AMIN BRAKK BASE CAMP AND RETURN TO THE CAMP

Walk toward Amin Brakk Base Camp, home to the famous rock tower known as “The Great Tower.”
Enjoy views of peaks like Drefekhar, Kodra, Nawaz Brakk, and green meadows full of wildflowers.
After exploring, return to Nangma Base Camp for another night under the stars.

Day 08 :
RETURN TREK TO KANDAY VILLAGE & DRIVE TO SKARDU 6-8 HOURS

Follow the same trail back to Kanday. The walk is easy and relaxing as you pass fields, streams, and shepherd huts.
Enjoy a warm Balti welcome at your guesthouse. After lunch drive to Skardu back through Khaplu and follow the Shyok and Indus Rivers to Skardu.
Check into your hotel, enjoy a hot shower, and rest after the trek.

Day 09 :
FLY TO ISLAMABAD OR DRIVE TO NARAN ON THE WAY BACK 10-12 HOURS

If you are lucky enough with weather and an hour flight Islamabad. On the other hand drive to Naran Valley Indus Gorge to Gilgit and continue on Karakorum High to Chilas. Travers over Babusar Pass 4,100 to Naran an epic journey overnightstay in Naran

Day 10 :
FREE DAY IN ISLAMABAD

Enjoy a relaxed day. Visit the Faisal Mosque, Lok Virsa Museum, or explore local markets.
In the evening, join a farewell dinner with your group. If the flight cancelled the previous day then drive from Naran to Islamabad. Overnight in Islamabad

Day 11 :
FLY HOME SWEET HOME

We will transfer you to Islamabad International Airport for your flight home.
Your Nangma Valley adventure ends here — full of memories of granite towers, peaceful valleys, and warm Balti hospitality.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

PASSPORT AND VISA

Participants of all nationalities are required to have a valid passport with six months remaining validity and a visa for Pakistan. Visas must be applied online at https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/   

The main category is MOUNTAINEERING & TREKKING and the sub-category is TREKKING. You will need a letter of invitation (LOI) which our office will provide along with the requisite documents like Trips Nomad Adventure (TNA) license copy and National Identity Card of the issuing authority. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND A VISA FOR PAKISTAN. 


TREKKING PERMIT

No Permit Needed for this Trek

Some Treks in Pakistan fall in the restricted areas, a trekking permit is required and the security clearance process usually takes 30-45 days. It is high recommended to apply at least 60 days in advance to delays. Your application for visa is linked with the application for the trekking permit.

PERSONAL INSURANCE

As the trip is of strenuous nature, it is a mandatory requirement to have an insurance policy for accidents, medical and helicopter evacuation covering at least $ 30,000. DRESS

In the cities like Islamabad, there is no problem if you are in western dress but in remote regions including Skardu, you will need to have a full dress (covering your body)


LOCAL CREW

The local crew includes a licensed guide, cook, assistant cook, porter’s Sirdar, and porters. Our guides and cooks are well-experienced, strong, supportive and friendly. They performed their duties with full dedication to facilitate our valued clients.    

GROUP JOINING INSTRUCTIONS

The tour starts and ends in Islamabad. TNA, guide or representative will be at the airport to pick the clients with the welcome signboard of TNA.  We can also make reservations for pre and post nights if anyone arriving early or departing late.

BOOKING & DEPOSITS

The trip can be reserved upon as an initial deposit of 50% one month before arrival. The initial deposit shall not be refunded but can be transferred for a future trip.

FINAL PAYMENT

We accept full trip cost before the commencement of the tour. The payments are only accepted in cash/bank transfers in bank account. We don’t accept payments through credit cards. Please do not accept any invoice which is not generated by Trips Nomad Adventure and sent through official email ID.

1) Cancellations must be notified in writing to Trips Nomad Adventure or the agent through which the trip is booked. Cancellation charges shall be levied as follows:

  1. Cancellation before 30 days or more-After a deduction of the 10%, the remaining amount will be refunded. If the deposit is retained with the consent of our client no cancellation charges will be applied. The full amount will be adjusted with a future trip.
  2. Cancellation within 2 weeks before departure –50 % of the package offer
  3. Cancellation within one week of departure or no show –Loss of full payment

2) There shall be no refunds if you leave the trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily, after the trip has begun. No refunds shall be made for any meals, accommodation or services not utilized
