Cross-border journey, Karakoram Highway, first views of Hunza
After immigration at Sost, enter Pakistan via the legendary Karakoram Highway (KKH). Enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery as you drive to Gulmit, a picturesque town in Upper Hunza. Check in at Hotel Marco Polo and take a relaxing evening stroll.
Hussaini Suspension Bridge, Borith Lake, Attabad Lake
Start the day with a visit to Hussaini Suspension Bridge, known as one of the world's most thrilling rope bridges. Walk to Borith Lake, a tranquil glacial lake. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Attabad Lake, a turquoise wonder formed by a landslide in 2010. Continue to Karimabad and stay at Eagle Nest Hotel, offering panoramic Hunza views.
Baltit & Altit Forts, Ganish Village, Local Culture

A long but scenic 6-7 hour drive takes you to Swat Valley, either via the Lowari Pass (3,118m) or the Lowari Tunnel. Rest in a comfortable Swat hotel.
Stunning mountain landscapes, remote villages
A 9-hour drive over the Shangla Pass brings you to Chilas, a historically significant town along the Indus River. Stay at Shangri-La Hotel for the night.
Raikot Bridge, thrilling jeep ride, short trek
Drive to Raikot Bridge, then take a local jeep to Tato Village, followed by a 3-hour trek to Fairy Meadows (3,200m). Stay in huts or camps, enjoying breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat (8,126m).

Trek back to Tato Village, take a jeep ride to Raikot Bridge, and drive 2.5 hours to Gilgit. Check-in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening in the city.

A final drive through the mountains leads you back to Sost, the last town before crossing back into China. Stay at a local hotel and prepare for tomorrow’s border journey.
Cross-border journey, farewell to Pakistan
Complete immigration at the Khunjerab Pass (4,693m) and return to Tashkurgan, China, marking the end of your epic 19-day adventure.
